Welcome to Claudia – our new Marie Curie Fellow

Welcome to Claudia who will join our group from the University of Napoli for three years as a Marie Curie Fellow. Her work will investigate the role of DMA in Zn efficiency in rice. Her work will involve the setting up of experimental methods to determine metal-MA complexes using LC-MS/MS, to grow rice and barley in Zn and Fe deficient systems in the laboratory and the field and to determine stabilty constants using electrochemical and spectrophotometric techniques. She will collaborate with the groups of Colin Turnball and Gerald Larrouy at the Life Science department and with Ramon Vilar from the Chemistry department. Other collaborators are Prof Wissuwa from IRRI/JIRCAS. Dr Suzuki from Aichi Steele and Prof Garcia from Valencia.
