Welcome to the new MSci students – Claire, Jarret, Jonathan, Antionette and Victoria

We have five new MSci students joining our research group … They work on rather different problems and here just a quick introduction …. Jarret will work on the development of a pH electrode method to measure gradients in protons between bulk soil and root surface in collaboration with Yuris group in Hammersmith and Fengjie in Liverpool. Claire will work with Fatimah on understanding extent and direction of Cu isotope fractionation during the dissolution atmospheric particulate matter, Antoinette will work with Claudia on the determinations of accurate and precise logK values for metal-citrate complexes to assess the role of weak ligands in micronutrient uptake in soils, Victoria will use the recently developed Python code to map ligand exchange points in soils with the help of Jincheng and Jack and finally Jonathan will with me, Jay and Ramon and Peter start to optimize cartridges for the ImpAs filter for application in analytical chemistry and water purification.
